Announcing: Queer Alphabet Training Series


Our new Queer Alphabet Training Series will run for 4 consecutive weeks beginning May 1. Participants may attend any or all trainings. All trainings take place at the GLBT Center of Colorado and each costs $30. Sign up for all 4 trainings now to receive a $20 discount (all 4 trainings for $100). The Queer Alphabet: Working with Lesbian- and Gay-identified Youth

Why is it that lesbian and gay youth are becoming pregnant at higher rates than their straight peers? In this training, learn some of the contributing cultural factors and active ways to support lesbian and gay youth in your community.

The Queer Alphabet: Working with Bisexual-identified Youth

What does it mean to be bisexual in Denver? Bisexuality is often overlooked, ignored, and invisible. In this training, learn to bring awareness to bisexuality, and avoid popular faux pas in order to create a safer space for bisexual-identified youth.

The Queer Alphabet: Working with Trans*-identified Youth 

What does trans* mean? What identities does it cover? Learn about the unique medical, cultural, emotional, and physical challenges faced by trans*-identified youth in Denver. Most importantly, learn how to become more trans*-inclusive personally and professionally.
Wednesday, May 15th from 4:30-5:30pm.


The Queer Alphabet: Working with Queer-identified Youth

Why do some youth choose to identify as Q instead of the other letters of the queer alphabet? Many people now identify as queer, an all-encompassing term that can mean a multitude of identities. Learn how sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression intersect in this emotionally deep and interactive workshop.
